How NFL Weekly Pick’em Works
Use this page anytime you want a quick explanation of a feature, color, or rule.
Getting Started
Create or join a group. A group stays together for the season. Use the invite code to bring in friends.
Joining a group does not automatically enter you each week. You must submit that week's complete card to play that week.
Submitting Weekly Picks
Pick a winner for every game included on the weekly card and enter the combined final score for the selected tiebreaker game.
Once you submit, your card is locked/stored for that week. In Auto-enter mode you immediately compete. If Commissioner Approval Required is turned on, your card stays Pending Approval until the Weekly Commissioner approves it.
Picks Board
After you submit, open the Picks Board to compare everyone's picks in one chart. Swipe sideways on your phone to move through the games.
Schedule Pick Indicators
Your normal selection uses the standard blue pick box. After league picks are allowed to be revealed, a violet ring means you are the only league member who picked that team. A teal ring means everyone in the league picked that team.
These indicators never appear early in Game-Time Lock, so they cannot reveal hidden picks before kickoff. Yellow remains reserved for tie/penalty-style states.
Live Game Center
Tap a matchup heading on the Picks Board to open its Game Center. It shows score, game status, clock information when available, possession, updates, and how your group picked that game.
The Game Center refreshes automatically while you are viewing it.
Weekly Commissioner
The Weekly Commissioner is the person who starts that week's setup for the group. They choose the pick lock rule and whether entries auto-enter or require commissioner approval. They may also add optional contact information for the league.
The role lasts only for that week. The Weekly Commissioner does not automatically gain access to everyone’s picks; they still have to submit their own complete card and tiebreaker to unlock the Picks Board.
In Auto-enter mode, the commissioner checkbox can be used as a simple league marker. In Commissioner Approval Required mode, an unchecked submitted player is Pending Approval and does not rank or compete until checked. Approved players receive the green dot for that week.
Game-Time Lock: after submitting, players can reopen their own card and edit any matchup that has not kicked off yet. Each game locks individually at kickoff. Other players’ choices and group percentages for an unlocked game stay hidden until that game kicks off. You can still see who has submitted. Commissioner approval stays approved after edits.
Lock Modes
Full Card Lock: once the card is submitted, the whole card is locked.
Game-Time Lock: unstarted games remain editable until kickoff and other players’ selections stay hidden game-by-game until each matchup locks. The app will always show the active rule for the week.
Standings & Scoring
Each correct game pick is worth one point. A tied NFL game gives everyone the point. Skipping a week does not count as a loss.
The commissioner-selected tiebreaker game’s combined final score is used when needed.
Group Chat & Polls
Each week has its own chat room. Players who submitted a card for that week, plus the Weekly Commissioner, can use that week’s chat. Official polls stay with that week.
Free vs Pro
Free: the complete pick’em game, league features, scoring, Picks Board, Game Center, standings, chat, and basic game information.
Pro: extra information meant to help you make smarter picks, such as market odds, line movement, expert consensus, injuries, trends, matchup news, and Game Outlook data when those feeds are connected.
Super Bowl Challenge
The Super Bowl Challenge uses fun prop questions such as Gatorade color, anthem length, first touchdown, halftime items, commercials, MVP, and more.
Each correct answer is worth one point. The highest total wins, with combined final Super Bowl score used as the tiebreaker.
What Does “Submitted” Mean?
Submitted means the player completed the full weekly card and tiebreaker and the picks are stored. Before you submit your own card, you can see who has submitted but you cannot see anyone else’s picks. After you submit, the Picks Board unlocks.
If that week uses Commissioner Approval Required, submitted and eligible are different: the submitted card stays locked while the player is Pending Approval, and the player does not rank or compete until the Weekly Commissioner checks them.
